About us

Hello and firstly, thanks for taking the time to read our blog, I’m Michelle, a first time mummy to a fluffy bummed little princess called Chloe. She was born in October 2009, seven weeks early and weighed a tiny 2lb 8oz, she is a healthy and happy baby and although she is still small for age, she makes up for it by never sitting still! We currently live in Sheffield with my partner, oh and I hold my hand up, I am a cloth nappy addict!  My partner, although likes Chloe’s pretty nappies, doesnt understand the complete passion I’ve developed for them! So much so that this blog started off as a shrine for all things fluffy, but Chloe wont be in nappies forever and there’s so much that I want to talk about that now it’s just a blog of our everyday life and ramblings with some reviews thrown in. I’ve always gone online and looked for reviews on things before I buy something, I find it really useful to get someone elses perspective on things so I hope to be able to give back a little for all the 1000’s of reviews I must have read, from prams and cloth nappies to everyday things like hoovers and books.

Please feel free to leave comments and feedback, it’s always nice to read someone elses thoughts on something and it is nice to know I’m not just rambling to myself!! We hope you enjoy our blog and join us on our journey of discovery and if you wish to contact us then please do so at fluffymummyblog@gmail.com

  1. Hi,

I read your review on Ocado and I totally agree with you about the website and it’s quality of products. It’s good to remember that it’s not always about the quantity! lol. Love your blog-website. Keep up the good work!

    Take care,

    Lily

PS: Chloe is GORGEOUS! 🙂 x

  2. Hi Michelle, have been reading your blog with interest. I’ve just started using cloth nappies on my little boy Finlay. He’s 5 months, already 17lbs and has some chunky thighs. I’m struggling to find a nappy that fits him well, doesn’t leak and has good containment. I’m trialling quite a few with the Fill Your Pants £10 deal but can’t say I’m loving any of them. What would you recommend trying? Many thanks, Heidi

    • Hello and welcome to the world of cloth! Sorry to hear you’ve not found anything suitable yet, but once you get all the hard work out of the way and find the ones you do like and work for Finlay then it’s a breeze!

It’s probably best to go through why you dont like the ones you’ve tried and what things is it is you need in a nappy system (i.e. something quick drying, super easy to use etc). It’s probably easiest if I pop you an email and I can then suggest what might work for you better. I’m having a bit of a catch up atm, as I’m behind with a ton of things – I dont know where the time has gone, I cant believe Izzy is two weeks old tomorrow! So I’ll find some time tomorrow and pop you an email and we’ll see if we can find out what’s going on and what to try next!

Speak soon and take care x

  3. Aw thanks Michelle. Congratulations on Izzy and for making the time to help me after only two weeks!! Speak soon.

  4. Hi Michelle, I’d like to come and see you about nappies as I’d like to try these with my son. Is there a time we could meet up?

    Lindsay

  5. Hi Michelle Ive just read through all your reviews of nappies and I’m even more confused as where to start now! 🙂 I’m wanting to meet if possible to talk about cloth! I want to start using cloth nappies on my little girl who is 6 months and then be able to use them for our next baby due next summer is it possible to arrange something? Thanks

  6. Hi Michelle,

I have a 10 month old son and I am intrigued about trying cloth nappies. I would like to save costs and have something quick drying as we have a small home. However my main reason is that now my son has started crawling I think the disposable nappies are slightly restrictive and rough against his skin. Reading all these reviews, makes me realise i have no idea where to start- could we arrange for me to visit you or vice versa please? Many thanks Karen
